Is your website mobile-friendly? Google says it should be.
This year Google has been working on their search algorithms yet again. Every now and then they change the rules by which you rank so they can prevent people exploiting the search as well as continue to improve the results based on what users search for.
This week their new algorithms target mobile search rankings. Google wants to help mobile users see websites which are mobile-friendly. This means if your website does not have a responsive or mobile design, you may rank lower than you were a couple of weeks ago. How much lower? Time will tell.
But rather than waiting to see what damage is done, it is important to make sure you act to make your website mobile-friendly. This could even improve your rankings on mobile searches and increase traffic to your website.
You can test your website with Google's “Mobile-Friendly Test”. If your website is not mobile-friendly, get in touch with us on 01291 570 571 and we'll be happy to discuss your requirements.
